A look at CIPHER’s Medical Clinical Services that can help you look after your health

7th April marks World Health Day. The annual celebration aims to create awareness of specific health themes, highlighting priority areas of concern for the World Health Organization. Over the past fifty years WHD has covered important health issues such as mental health, maternal and childcare, and climate change. This year’s theme is ‘my health, my right’ and focuses on everybody’s right to a healthy life.

Here at CIPHER Medical we actively promote healthy choices and lifestyles amongst our staff and service users. With this in mind, our growing offer of clinical services currently provides support in three main areas: Hay fever treatment, physiotherapy, and sports therapy.

As we are now in springtime and thoughts of warmth, sunshine, and the great outdoors dare to emerge, for some the reality is not quite so pleasant. In the UK, tree pollen has already begun to cause issues to hay fever sufferers and will continue until about mid-May. Unfortunately, grass pollen appears in about mid-May to take over until July. It is no exaggeration to say that these allergens can cause misery for sufferers.

Symptoms vary, but generally include a mixture of sore and itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, headaches, and even tiredness. Whatever your symptoms, they can have a negative impact on your life throughout these finer months.

However, you don’t have to suffer. There are solutions available and, with a consultation at CIPHER Medical, we can help to find the treatment for you. Book an appointment for our hay fever clinic where our qualified practitioners will discuss the list of inclusion and exclusion criteria with you before deciding if you are eligible for an alternative treatment.

Serving the needs of patients across the Northeast of England from our base in Stockton-on-Tees, we help determine what treatment is the right option for you and offer you the treatment that you need. Let us help you to enjoy the summer!

If you suffer from aches and pains, you’ll know how important it is to be able to move and function without pain and the stress that goes with it. Commonly, back pain, neck pain and headaches, and sporting injuries can be successfully treated with physiotherapy. Our professional team of qualified physiotherapists are experts, with a range of experience and knowledge from sports related injuries to musculoskeletal disorders, who specialise in applying physical techniques to restore health and effective pain relief.

We cover upper and lower limb, spinal and back fit, with a range of programmes and techniques tailored to your identified needs following consultation. All clients are unique, and each individual case is given careful attention, including the history and nature of existing symptoms, relevant health information, and a physical examination. The most appropriate and effective treatment will then be determined.

Let our team of specialists at CIPHER Medical guide you through the process, identifying the most effective treatment for you to get you back to your best.

To complement our physiotherapy offer, we also provide a range of specific sports/physical therapy services, delivered by qualified sports therapists. We have extensive experience in the industry, supporting athletes from a range of backgrounds and activities.

Throughout the consultation, a programme will be devised to improve the movement and function to the injured area and offer advice on how to avoid injury in future.

You don’t have to be an athlete to access our services or be a participant in sporting activities; physical therapy can be recommended to anyone to help improve and maintain health and physical performance. Even ordinary day-to-day stresses can place substantial strain on the body, from personal, work and postural related dysfunction – these can all be treated effectively through our range of sports/physical therapies.

Just some of the therapies we offer are: exercise rehabilitation, sports massage, heat therapy, tapping and strapping, and many more!

Make a booking to discuss your needs and receive expert advice and treatment and get back to your performing best.
