QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) 1 Day – Teesside

This programme is designed to guide learners over a single day of training to develop the skills and knowledge to deal with a range of first aid for children, infants and babies.  This course has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the department for education’s EYFS framework and is ideal for:

• Those who are newly qualified at level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification.
• Nannies
• Au pairs
• Sport and Leisure staff
• Anyone who is responsible for child welfare including parents, carer’s, grandparents etc.

Anyone can apply to complete the Emergency Paediatric First Aid award and we encourage people to consider paediatric first aid training if they have contact with children.

On successful completion of this course including the examination aspects the student will be awarded the Qualsafe Award of QA level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF).  This is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification.

Students will cover key areas including developing Emergency Paediatric first aid skills and confidence to help someone who:

• is unresponsive and breathing
• is unresponsive and not breathing, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• is choking
• is bleeding
• has burns or scalds

Parking

There is limited parking on site due to 24 hour operational staff use. There is ample on street parking nearby, but delegates are encouraged to cycle, use public transport or car share where possible.

By foot – We are based just under a mile from Stockton High Street (approx 15 minutes’ walk).

By public transport – Stockton High Street is well served by busses. Stockton Railway Station and Thornaby Railway Station are both approximately 1 mile from the venue. 

By bike – We are just off the National Cycle Network Routes 1 and 14.
