Three of our student paramedics, Grace Carr, Jess Kelly and Olivia Breeze, are hoping to complete their elective placements in Tanzania during April and May 2025 for 3 weeks.
They will be working in a busy and underfunded hospital in Dar es Salaam in A&E, burns units, children’s cancer wards, maternity just to name a few. The aim of this is to broaden their scope of practice working alongside colleagues from a different healthcare setting, as well as working out of their comfort zones before graduating in July 2025.

All of the work that they complete throughout their time there is unpaid, and as such, they are hoping to raise funding to help towards flights, accommodation, and the teaching and time from the hospital staff.
Grace, Jess and Olivia have taken part in different fundraising activities such as peak climbing in the Lake District, Tough Mudder and a football tournament.
CIPHER Medical are sponsoring our student paramedics to help them achieve this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Any help in the form of a contribution that you’re able to donate would be extremely appreciated from all of the team going to Tanzania.
